It's all about honest beauty – perfecting your existing canvas and enhancing your complexion, not masking it.
Take the mask off and keep it fresh and polished.
This look cannot be created without a seriously great foundation. We love:
M.A.C Studio Sculpt – a multi-look foundation that requires very little product to do a lot of work
Maybelline Liquid Mineral Power – known by beauty editors everywhere as THE mineral foundation.
Clinique Even Better – evens out skin-tone, and works for you while it is on your skin to give you even better, more luminous skin in the long run.
Created by M.A.C's international artist Nadine Luke, we loved the gleaming skin, and polished, pared back makeup at Jayson Brunsdon. What's the secret to this look? A thin layer of M.A.C Strobe Cream was applied to the face before foundation.
Vital to this look is the use of peachy tones – another big trend this season that will stick around for summer. Peach gloss, peach shadow and peach highlighters are sweet, flattering and do double duty so you only need to buy one product to cover all bases.
Every woman should own a M.A.C Mineralize Skin Finish Powder. I use mine in so many ways – for an all over sheen when I am feeling tired or hungover, to highlight my cheek and brow bones and as an eyeshadow.
HOT TIP: apply a small amount of a highlighting powder down the centre of the nose to make it appear thinner.
More stunning makeup created by M.A.C at RAFW. The look at Zimmerman was ethereal – and one of the best all week.
The eyes were a light metallic silver (and so were the brows – how very modern), the base was so dewy the skin almost looked wet, the lips were nude and luscious and the hair was scraped right back and then coiled into a plaited bun high on the head. 10 points for amazing use of highlighter!
The secret to creating dewy skin lies in this bottle.
M.A.C Fix+Rose is an aqua-spritz fixing spray from filled with vitamins and minerals, infused with a calming mix of green tea, chamomile and cucumber – and then scented with 100% natural rose water. Use it to set makeup, create radiance, and refresh throughout the day.
Peachy blush tones and perfectly applied foundation backstage at Sara Phillips SS09/10.
M.A.C makup artist Charlotte Tilbury suggests adding a touch of pale gold or silver to the inner corner of the eye so add an angelic shimmer.
HOT TIP: a lighter shade of foundation applied down the centre of the face and blended outwards creates the illusion of ultra perfect skin.
