Two of our favourite Australian brands Napoleon Perdis and Christopher Esber collaborated on Christopher Esber’s exciting debut at New York Fashion Week this week. “I’m thrilled to be working with Napoleon for the first time, in my first international debut during NYFW,” says Christopher Esber. “I love that the Napoleon Perdis philosophy is about elevating your natural beauty with confidence-building products. This ethos resonates with the brand, and FW17 collection.”

Esber’s collection was inspired by the power and energy of automobiles and how the Christopher Esber woman also has that power and energy. This translated into a range full of confident, elegant pieces with an emphasis on tailoring and silhouette. Clever fabric techniques with crisp cotton, patent leather, devore velvet and slinky silk created modern shapes with a classic appeal.

Napoleon Perdis’ daughter Lianna walked the show as a model and Napoleon couldn’t have been more delighted about it. “Having Lianna walk her first NYFW show showcasing prominent Australia fashion designer, Christopher Esber’s designs is beyond wonderful,” he adds “I’m so proud of how humble, professional and focused Lianna is. She continues to make her mother, sisters and I very proud”.

Lianna was also super excited to participating in the show. “To be walking at NYFW for a home-grown, Australian fashion designer is humbling to say the least,” says Lianna. “When Christopher asked me to be a part of his show, my immediate answer was, yes! I adore his work and am humbled to have been chosen to showcase his designs”.

Modeling at New York Fashion Week meant Lianna wanted to make sure her skin was in perfect condition for the runway and she was particular in her lead-up to the event. “Anyone who knows me knows I’m obsessed with skin care, cleansing, priming and having my skin look and feel fresh,” she adds. “I begin my morning routine by cleansing with Balm Voyage Moisture Complex Cleanser & Makeup Remover. It’s a rich and gentle balm so it won’t strip your skin of its essential oils (which can sometimes lead to breakouts) and leaves your skin feeling incredibly smooth and hydrated. I then apply Auto Pilot Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum all over my face (and down my neck) which gives my skin an instant wake up. Whether I’m going to apply makeup or not, I always apply primer next. My go-to primer right now is Auto Pilot Calming Skin Primer. It’s a green-based primer which combats redness and skin imperfections and contains Algae Extract and Vitamin E. I’m then ready to apply makeup (or not) depending on what I’ve got going on, or my mood.”

“In the evening, if I haven’t been wearing makeup I cleanse with Rebirth of Venus Skin Renewal Cleansing Oil. The oil-based cleanser is amazing for oilier skin types and has Marine Placenta and Lotus Seed to help calm and soothe. If I’m wearing makeup I do a double cleanse with Balm Voyage Moisture Complex Cleanser and Makeup Remover, followed by serum, Supreme Eye Cream and Auto Pilot Lip Service. Then bed!”

The night before the show Lianna made sure to have a good night’s rest then followed it up with the Napoleon Perdis Anti-Pollution Refining Skin-fusion Milk Toning Essence. “It’s absolute heaven and I’m obsessed,” says Lianna. “I use it under or over makeup to tone and re-infuse my complexion. Its milky texture creates a transparent glass-like finish. Perfect for makeup application or simply radiant skin.”
