Looks from moochi’s new palette 3 collection called sculpted. Images by Toaki Okano.
There couldn’t be a more fitting place to shoot a collection named sculpted than at Auckland Art Gallery which is exactly what moochi did this season. The palette 3 collection itself is inspired by the architectural features of the gallery, the muted tones of natural stones and textured tiling, while exploring contrasting shapes, spaces, prints and fabrics. The moochi muse is a modern woman who moves with poise and stature, she is feminine, yet androgynous, fierce yet gentle and represents the juxtapositional contrast of women in today’s world.
For the clothing that means moochi’s signature contemporary pieces with relaxed yet structural shapes that offer transeasonal dressing at it’s finest. From chic workwear to elevated weekend looks and gorgeous special occasion pieces, the moochi customer will find the perfect pieces to add to her wardrobe for the new season.
Minimalism still reigns supreme as seen in the clean lines and unfussy details of these thoughtfully created pieces. Monochromatic looks are always a moochi favourite but this collection has a playful animal print that features on a Japanese inspired shirt, dress and pant. A key piece is the assemble blazer with it’s masculine tailoring that will keep you cosy in a luxurious micro houndstooth wool. The jett dress with its plunging reversible neckline is another key item that is oh so versatile and easily worn with a tshirt or shirt for an elegant look. As always, moochi’s new collection is perfectly accessorised with sleek jewellery and just the right pair of black boots.
