Back in 1979,  Sir Michael Hill and his wife Christine opened their first jewellery store in Whangarei, 40 years on and the Michael Hill Jewellery brand has over 300 stores in three countries. The brand recently celebrated its 40th anniversary at the Michael Hill Jewellery store on Auckland’s Vulcan Lane with the Hill family in attendance to mark the impressive milestone.

Michael Hill is one of those iconic New Zealand brands that is a household name here and has been part of many Kiwi’s special moments in life. While a lot may have changed in fashion and jewellery since the late 70’s the brand has endured and evolved offered a stellar selection of jewellery that keeps customers coming back year after year.

To celebrate the 40th birthday of Michael Hill Jewellery the brand has created 40 new designs that are inspired by some of its most popular styles from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. The result is an eye-catching collection featuring plenty of sparkling diamonds that Michael Hill is so well known for, with the limited edition styles including rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and watches that have a timeless appeal.

It’s a fitting tribute to a pretty amazing 40 year heritage of Michael Hill Jewellery and we look forward to what the next 40 years has in store from the beloved brand.
