Mi Piaci recently launched their gorgeous new Four Corners collection for Autumn/Winter 2019 in stores and online. It’s full of beautiful statement shoes alongside elegant essentials to update your wardrobe for the new season. Mi Piaci have been more introspective in recent seasons focusing on the brand’s foundations and ethos while this season looks outward and is inspired by the shifting world around us. According to designer Sarah Street, Four Corners is an exploration of place and self – exploring the duality of women, our femininity and our strength.
The brand create footwear that is well designed, fashionable and very wearable with the aim of providing easy style and confidence to modern women. This season Mi Piaci have explored four elements that they feel are particularly pertinent to how we navigate our current world: utility, athleticism, frontier and vocation. That translates to utilitarian detailing such as buckles and lace-up closures, minimalism through elevated sneaker design, Western-inspired silhouettes, and a reference to 80s power dressing.
Four Corners is a covetable collection of footwear in a wonderfully rich colour palette of camel, forest green, berry and dusty pink alongside classic black. The range draws from a fascinating selection of influences from the four corners of the globe which makes for a diverse collection that is modern and celebrates community as well as individuality.
Among the key styles are Segwick – a refined ankle boot with a cylindrical heel and playful leopard print, as well as Betsy – a flared heel boot in snake effect leather that has all the trimmings including cut out details, feature buckles and lacing. Garrison offers a versatile boot in dusty rose and black with an interchangeable scarf tie and bolo trim that are both removable to change its look. Stiletto wearers will love Mitzy which has an asymmetric topline that references 80s power dressing and is available in winsome forest green as well as black. With so many appealing styles in this collection, Mi Piaci fans are certainly spoilt for choice this season.
