Mi Piaci‘s stylish new footwear collection for Autumn/Winter 2020 is in stores and online now with the brand inspired by the theme of ‘home’ this season. The brand describe home as being interpreted in a vast spectrum of ways; from a familiar touch, a fond memory, or nostalgic sentiment to our physical home of New Zealand. The collection celebrates the beauty of New Zealand from the spellbinding scenery to the kind souls who call NZ their home. It’s also about women as Mi Piaci’s team is led by and made up of strong, capable women.
“Nature is resilient, as are women, and we pay tribute to both through a captivating series of chapters this season. Mirroring the stories, challenges and growth that define our lives, through these unfolding chapters we will explore that which shapes us, motivates us and gives us strength as Mi Piaci women,” add the collection notes.
The distinctly local campaign images reflect that natural beauty and strength and are a fitting way to celebrate the winsome footwear of the collection. Still popular this season is the revitalisation of traditional western silhouettes with Mi Piaci’s ode to the urban cowboy offering a modern take on the country inspiration. It’s amplified by unexpected pops of colour and beautiful details including traditional stitching techniques that elevate the western styles.
This season sees the brand adopting some more utilitarian styles that have a grungy feel thanks to studs, platforms and lace details that still have a Mi Piaci polish. There’s also oh so soft shearling coming through which is the perfect cosy fabric for the cooler months. Seen on stylish boots and slides, it’s a playful way to keep your feet toasty warm this winter.
As always there are lots sleek and sophisticated styles that offer Mi Piaci fans the perfect heels, boots, loafers and lace-ups to elevate office to evening looks. The colour palette for the season is suitably warm and appealing with hues of tan, rust, brown and black complemented by pops of hot pink, navy and blush. This beautiful new range will be sure to find a home in many New Zealand wardrobes this season.
