Mi Piaci are celebrating creative women and the beauty of shoemaking by gifting a limited-edition art print to the first 250 customers who make purchases in their stores on May 26th. The beautiful prints were commissioned by Mi Piaci from Auckland-based artist Lily Kate Vallance and the bespoke illustration features the Western-inspired ‘Garland’ boot which is a key style for the season.

“Design is everything to us, and we hold the utmost respect and passion for the art of footwear – from the conceptualisation and craftsmanship of each pair, to the artistry every women shows when she makes some beautiful new shoes part of her life and style,” says Sarah Street, Mi Piaci Brand Manager and Designer. “With this bespoke illustration we have taken this sentiment one step further, bringing that artistic beauty of footwear into our customers’ homes.”

The charming illustrated prints of ‘Garland’ will be available for one day only in all Mi Piaci stores across New Zealand and Australia.  Mi Piaci will be gifting them for free to any customer who makes a full price purchase on the day. But if you’re interested you will want to get in quickly as there are only 250 prints in total across all their stores and once they are gone that’s it. Each print is A4 size and is individually numbered and signed by Lily.

“Creating art is a process. It’s explorative, often playing with texture, tone, and colour, not unlike the process a designer goes through when they conceptualise a shoe,” says Lily Kate Vallance, Artist and Illustrator. “I wanted this print to evoke feelings of calm within the colour palette, whilst still retaining a certain playfulness. To be a piece that inspires creativity and adorns the walls of Mi Piaci women.”
