An exciting new collaboration launched today from Mi Piaci and Benjamin Alexander, with a limited edition capsule footwear collection arriving in stores and online on the day of the designer’s first New Zealand Fashion Week show. Benjamin Alexander created the collection in collaboration with Mi Piaci’s designer Sarah Street and it is a perfect blend of the two brand’s modern aesthetics.
The collaboration came to fruition over a coffee and shared visions from the two designers and has been created with elegance and simplicity in mind. The inspiration for it ‘stemmed from working on something that was real, honest and represented both brands equally within the 5-piece collection’.
“We’re so proud to be a NZ brand working closely with an emerging NZ brand, and have thoroughly enjoyed the collaborative process we’ve experienced with Benjamin,” says Sarah Street. “His vision naturally aligns with Mi Piaci’s aesthetic and we just can’t wait to share this new collection.”
The new footwear collection is available in selected Mi Piaci stores and online today and is sure to go quickly. The luxurious fabrications and rich hues of the range perfectly reflect Benjamin Alexander’s sophisticated collection and incorporate Mi Piaci’s stunning feature heels. The custom designs for the collection were developed in-house collaboratively between both brands, the process was seamless, and allowed for clear artistic direction from the outset.
“We have used Benjamin Alexander’s pieces in a few of our campaigns and they have always been so stunningly beautiful so I knew from the start that this collection would be nothing short of dreamy,” adds Sarah.
