The nouveau style lunch will feature invigorating flavours and a few surprises, showcasing the French infused with Kiwi style of cuisine that Cru – Sale St’s restaurant serves.
On executive chef Nick Honeyman’s menu is Ibrerico ham with asparagus and parmesan custard; seared bluenose , hazelnuts, ginger, cherry tomatoes and lemon mint; Silere Alpine marino rump with truffle, olive oil and compressed vegetables followed by a palate cleansing red wine sorbet then a delicious dessert of peaches ‘every way’ brulle.
Adding to the celebratory occasion is a complimentary glass of G.H Mumm Champagne for everyone that purchases a ticket to the lunch which starts at 1pm.
Lunch-goers can also take part in race sweepstakes and watch the races live on big screens around Sale St.
Female guests will be treated to spot prizes for ‘Best Hat/Fascinator’ and ‘Best Dressed’ thanks to G.H Mumm Champagne and fashion label Ruby.
Ruby’s designer and stylist Deanna Didovich will be on hand at Sale St to help judge those attending the lunch which weather permitting, will be out on Sale St’s fabulous landscaped deck.
