Back in early March, Kelly Coe from popular womenswear label Augustine first told us about her new plus size label, Stella Royal by Augustine, and the first drop of the range arrives in stores today. She launched the first Stella Royal by Augustine collection at the sold-out The Augustine Life fashion event last month and it was certainly a hit with her loyal fans. The new range is designed in collaboration with Jane Laird-Pick, who formerly designed for High Society, and is aimed at sizes 14 – 20 which is still an under-supplied market in New Zealand.
Featuring beautiful florals and bright colours in Augustine's signature playful but feminine style, the collection includes a mix of great daywear and eveningwear looks that are easily mixed and matched. The Augustine team have done a great job of making the pieces flattering and easy to wear, with a bunch of covetable pieces that will no doubt sell out quickly as Augustine's hot pieces are inclined to do.
We're loving the pretty floral dresses and tops that make winter dressing a bit more fun and the more body-con stretch dresses are perfect for those nights when dancing and cocktails are on the cards. It's definitely a smart move by Kelly Coe to bring her energetic style to plus-size fashion and no doubt the Stella Royal by Augustine range will become just as beloved as her Augustine and Charlo ranges are, and will bring in a whole new group of Augustine fans too.
