Meadowlark‘s beautiful new jewellery collection called Halcyon is in stores and online now with the name referring to the golden ages of prosperity and beauty. The beloved jewellery brand have created a wearable range that is designed for those who want to enjoy some everyday glamour. Creative directors Claire Hammon and Greg Fromont have drawn inspiration from the likes of artists Antonio Canova, Auguste Rodin and Brancusi with the idealism and emotive detail of Neo Classical sculpture juxtaposed with simple fundamental forms. The result is a sublime collection that Meadowlark describes as ‘a romance with art, yourself and nature’.
There’s also classic 80s influences in the collection which is reflected in the timeless stamped fob-chain closure elegantly stamped with Meadowlark’s name. It features on a suitably retro anklet, as well as a bracelet and necklace, with the fob style available with freshwater pearls or sleek metal. They’re perfectly complemented by long stands of pearls that make stunning earrings and there’s also luxurious pearl drop earrings that are suspended from a elegant cuff.
Meadowlark excel at wonderfully detailed jewellery and a delicate engraving suggestive of sunrays through the clouds has been utilised for the stylish Inez signet rings and a pendant necklace both set with precious stones. The winsome designs are available with pink, green or blue sapphires, and reclaimed white diamonds. While those who prefer more minimalist pieces will love the charming Della pieces that can be easily stacked too. While Meadowlark’s favoured florals make an appearance in the Fleur pieces that are inspired by the frangipani tree.
Every Meadowlark piece is handmade in their Auckland atelier with the brand adhering to their core values of quality, respect, integrity and freedom of expression. Meadowlark take their commitment to ethics seriously with the brand sourcing predominantly recycled metals, reclaimed diamonds and their pearls are sourced from environmentally responsible farms. All the precious stones in the Halcyon collection are traceable from mine to market meaning every piece is responsibly made.
