The first drop of Meadowlark‘s magical new jewellery collection called Celesté has arrived in stores and online. Designer Claire Hammon looked to the skies above for inspiration for this range, offering a chic collection of pieces that will no doubt be adored by the brand’s many fans.
When looking to heavens it was the celestial bodies of the sun and moon that captured the designer’s imagination leading to Celesté as the perfect name for the collection. From there, the radiating lines of the Solaire range of rings and earrings represent the sun, while luminescent, orb-shaped pearls nod to the moon.
“The Solaire pieces are an extension of some of our favourite Vita styles, and we have added a sharper, more graphic-lined version in hoops and rings,” says Claire Hammon. “The Lunar pearl pieces are also inspired by classic piercing barbells, but elevated in luxurious materials. Each Celesté design featuring pearls, from the opulent Selene styles to a new range of bracelets, anklets and necklace strung with baroque pearls, is entirely made in our New Zealand atelier.”
Meadowlark’s signature cocktail rings make a welcome return with this beautiful new range, and include a stunning statement style, Aphrodite. The covetable ring features an oversized millennial-cut stone in an Art Deco-inspired sunray setting. The ring was introduced after many requests for a new cocktail ring from the brand’s loyal customers.
Each carefully crafted piece of Meadowlark jewellery is designed to be viewed as an individual work of art that can be enjoyed and appreciated every day. The brand want customers to wear the pieces and enjoy them rather than saving them for special occasions. Many of the pieces work well layered or with multiple pieces used for an outfit.
“We hope that people can express their creativity by layering them up and playing with the many forms that can be put together from our pieces,” adds Claire.
The second drop of Meadowlark’s Celesté collection featuring the Solaire and Aphrodite styles arrives on 8th July 2021.
