Max Factor Launches the Xperience Capsule Collection

The collection comes in the wake of a new trend in luxury – Luxe-Simplicity.  Beauty trend spotters have seen this movement on the catwalks – it translates into simple but highly polished makeup looks, created using fewer products.  And the Xperience range has been developed in response to this – ideal for the woman who wants a little bit of luxury in her daily life.

I was lucky enough to be treated to a makeover using the new products by Max Factor makeup artist Evana Pattison, to test drive the new capsule collection.  The collection consists of the Max Factor Xperience Weightless Foundation, the Max Factor Xperience Volumising Mascara, and the Max Factor Xperience Sheer Gloss Balm.

The foundation is truly lightweight – and I know this is a cliché but it really does feel like you’re wearing nothing at all- I was left looking, natural, dewy and polished.   The mascara, which employs the technology of the award-winning iFX brush, gave definition and volume to my lashes.  But my favourite product was the Sheer Gloss Balm – not being a fan of wearing boldly coloured lipsticks, it was the perfect mix of creamy gloss, which wasn’t too sticky, with just the right hint of colour.  It also contains mango and shea butter, leaving your lips moisturised and in top condition.

What’s great about the products is the fact that they have such a wide appeal – from first-time foundation users who will love the easy-to-blend and natural coverage of the foundation, to makeup veterans looking for something to perfectly match their skin tones, to women looking for a new and different lipstick, these products will suit a range of women.

Evana says:  “The new Xperience range from Max Factor is incredibly silky and I love that it provides such a flawless coverage without being too heavy”.

Plus, Max Factor Xperience has collaborated with Sienna and Savannah Miller’s label, Twenty8Twelve across two fashion seasons (Autumn/Winter 2010 and Spring /Summer 2011).  The partnership has seen Max Factor sponsor both London Fashion Week shows, with Global Creative Design Director Pat McGrath creating the makeup looks using the Xperience products.  The Spring/Summer 2011 show saw Pat create a naturally polished look that showcased fresh, dewy skin and a pop of red hot colour on the lips.

Check out this a video where Sienna and Savannah talk about the collaboration, and these amazing backstage shots from the Spring/Summer show.
