The first New Zealand David Jones is set to open in Wellington on 28th July and it's been announced that several major international fashion brands including Valentino will be stocked at the new store. Amongst the labels that haven't previously been stocked here before are Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen and Saint Laurent whose accessories will be available alongside favourites such as Chanel, Raymond Weil, Mimco and Samantha Wills.

“We are confident we’ve collated a unique and exciting offering that will delight our New Zealand customers," says David Jones Chief Operating Officer David Thomas. "Our brand mix for Wellington incorporates many of the popular brands Wellingtonians know and love, but with a fresh take on breadth of range and format instore, combined with a variety of international brands that are new to Wellington or New Zealand.”

David Jones currently stocks local labels Sabatini and Trelise Cooper in its Australian stores but will be expanding its range of New Zealand brands with the new Wellington store. Popular womenswear labels Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester and Saben will join Wellington-based brand Twenty-seven Names and menswear brand Rodd & Gunn.

“We are excited to bring the best of our fashion brands to New Zealand and equally to offer the best local brands," adds Mr Thomas. "It’s important to us that New Zealand brands are well represented and we are pleased to welcome these brands to the David Jones fashion family."

An extensive beauty selection will also be available with favourite brands MAC, Chanel and Estee Lauder as well as Tom Ford, Benefit and Aesop who are all new to Wellington. We couldn't be more excited to visit the first New Zealand David Jones and no doubt it will quickly become a hot shopping destination for Wellington.
