LUSH has been a leader in natural cosmetics and environmentally aware packaging for years and their latest release Slap Sticks is an innovative new solid foundation. Each product is partially dipped in peelable wax and arrives in a handy recycled and recyclable cardboard box. The foundation itself is available in a wide range of 40 shades and 3 undertones and is a 100% vegan and cruelty-free product. Slap Sticks is designed to be medium buildable coverage and is composed of 14% pigment and 45% Indonesian coconut oil to keep your skin hydrated and fresh.
“Making foundation, a staple in many peoples daily routine, solid, is a major leap forward to reducing plastic packaging without compromising on quality or effect,” says Rowena Bird, LUSH Co-founder and Product Inventor.
The raw materials for Slap Sticks are sourced from projects supporting women in work and children in education. This is a key focus in the formulation of LUSH’s new makeup and 10% of profits from the purchase of the coconut oil go directly to support a not-for-profit organisation that funds literacy classes and a dentist on the island of Nias in Indonesia.
The new foundation is limited edition release from #LushLabs and is available exclusively online. The idea behind #LushLabs is to introduce customers into the research and development process of brand new, never been seen before products. LUSH fans are encouraged to offer feedback on the #LushLabs products and each one is fully safety tested and offers customers the very first chance to try new innovations.
LUSH Slap Sticks are available for $29.90 exclusively online for one month only.
