Update 10th November: FARADAYS opens its doors at 11am Thursday 11th November 2021.
Innovative local retail store FARADAYS recently launched online introducing some of the world’s most coveted luxury brands to New Zealand for the first time. The brand has initially launched an e-commerce store with the opening of a stunning 550 square metre emporium designed by Chesire Architects coming next month (Alert Level restrictions dependent) at 8 Faraday Street in Parnell, Auckland.
The international brands that FARADAYS will stock include the likes of Alaïa (a first in the Southern Hemisphere), Givenchy, Loewe, Alexandre Vauthier, and Giuseppe Zanotti; lingerie and sleepwear from La Perla and Bordelle and iconic luggage from Rimowa. There will also be beautiful homewares including tableware from Ginori 1735; hand-blown Murano glass from Stories of Italy; impossibly luxe blankets from Saved NY and rare scents from Hermetica, Roja and Xerjoff. The store’s fashion and beauty offerings will sit alongside select furniture and home furnishings with much more planned as well. A selection of New Zealand artworks from Gow Langsford Gallery and fresh florals from Grace + Flora will add to the elevated offering at FARADAYS.
Co-founders Edward and Constance von Dadelszen are the creative force behind FARADAYS, and envisioned this exciting concept store with the view of cementing Auckland’s position as the home of luxury for Aotearoa. The refined multi-brand experience is inspired by the likes of global retail landmarks 10 Corso Como in Milan, Luisaviaroma in Florence, Joyce in Hong Kong and others. FARADAYS brings to life their shared vision of luxury in a contemporary Antipodean setting with the von Dadelszen’s signature sophisticated manner with a hint of frivolity.
“We know New Zealand consumers are searching for a truly international luxury department store experience, and we are confident FARADAYS will deliver an unrivalled offering in the Southern Hemisphere,” says Co-founder and Creative Director Constance von Dadelszen. “We want to create a lifestyle destination where one can select not only beautiful, highly curated items but also enjoy an exceptional glass of champagne or beautiful artwork. We hope people find the FARADAYS experience a luxurious escape for the senses.”
Those familiar with their luxurious label DADELSZEN will understand the von Dadelszen’s unwavering commitment to high quality craftsmanship which has seen the label find a loyal audience in Aotearoa and overseas. The ready-to-wear collection from DADELSZEN will be available at FARADAYS with the nearby flagship showroom continuing to offer the full range and bespoke offering.
While the physical FARADAYS store will hopefully open next month, the online experience is available now to customers who want to check out the brand’s initial offering. When the store does open it will deliver luxury on every level to the customer, with dedicated valet parking, personal styling, and concierge shopping on offer. The elegant new store will have an evolving programme of pop-ups, events, and brand activations, interwoven with frequent new product drops and seasonal food and wine offerings to keep customers engaged and up to date with the latest products.
