Gorman have just launched a colourful collaboration with Liz Payne and the 19-piece collection features a rainbow of detailed prints and charming beaded accessories. Liz Payne + Gorman couldn’t be more perfect for autumn as bright colours help keep a summery feel a bit longer and Gorman wearers definitely love colour.
Lisa Gorman approached artist Liz Payne with the idea of using the stunning digital prints and embroideries from Liz’s original artworks enabling them to become wearable art that can be widely enjoyed. Liz Payne explores the ideas of what is ‘art’ and ‘craft’ in her work by combining paint with a variety of thread, beads and sequins to create intricate, bold and vibrant artworks.
As an artist Liz is fascinated by the juxtaposition of bold, bright and colourful prints, shapes and form in her work which translates well into beautiful clothing and accessories for this collection. Each piece has so much detail with clever symbolism imbued into the prints making the viewer have a closer look.
