Looks from Liann Bellis’ Winter 2017 collection.
Designer Leanne Graves was inspired by early-mid 20th century European wartime style for her latest Liann Bellis collection. Called Purity, the Autumn/Winter range features quilted herringbone coats, faux fur and gunmetal buttons but styled in a feminine way with no shortage of colour to keep your spirits up in the cooler months.
Pleats, lace and ruffles have a ladylike effect and juxtapose with bomber jackets, wide-legged trousers and boxy shirting. The pops of fuschia, yellow and blue work perfectly with more muted hues of olive, black, white and grey to create a versatile wardrobe. While the swinging skirts and bold prints add a playfulness to this contemporary collection.
Liann Bellis’ signature style is practical and elegant with functional shapes created through clever tailoring. The brand is also ethically and sustainably designed and manufactured in New Zealand.
