Since it launched onto our (then square) television screens in 1990, The Simpsons has become a pop culture phenomenon which makes it a perfect match for Levi’s, who are also an iconic and instantly recognisable brand. The playful new collaboration from the two brands arrived in stores and online today offering a fun collection of pieces that draws on the rich and often quoted iconography of the show.
Designed for Autumn/Winter 2022, Levi’s and The Simpsons is a colourful streetwear-inspired collection that features Bart, Lisa, Milhouse, and a bunch of Springfield’s most popular residents. The range offers a cheerful throwback to ’90s fashion while still feeling modern and perfect for today.
Among the hero pieces from the collection are a reversible Puffer Vest with a sky blue and cloud print on one side, which is a nod to the show’s famous opening credits with the other side featuring The Simpsons classic yellow. There’s also a relaxed-fit indigo denim Levi’s Trucker featuring a graphic of Bart Simpson drinking his beloved Squishee. Taking a cue from playground style in honour of Springfield Elementary is a ringer tee, a riff on a letterman sweatshirt, and a vintage school uniform-inspired yellow corduroy jacket and pants. A fun all-over print showing Lisa Simpson, Ralph Wiggum, Mrs. Krabappel, Otto the Bus driver, and a host of other ‘Simpsons’ favorites features on the lining. That print has also been utilised for a white Hooded Puffer jacket and a cotton twill Bucket Hat.
It wouldn’t be a Levi’s collection without a great mix of tees, hoodies, and crew neck sweatshirts featuring graphic prints of scenes from iconic ‘Simpsons’ episodes. There’s a range of Levi’s and The Simpsons accessories too, including embroidered beanies and a sky-and-puffy-cloud Levi’s Sling Bag.
