LEO+BE‘s latest collection for Winter 2018 takes its cue from the new era of digital influencers and their fashion forward style. The collection is titled ‘Age of Influence’ and features playful styles that are named after the likes of Ella Yelich-O’Connor (Lorde), Matilda Rice, Maddy Budd and campaign model Cassidy Morris. The stunning 24 year old Morris was the first campaign model for the range and is now the host of Bravo not to mention curating a covetable Instagram account.
Designer sisters Jenny Drury and Brenda Wilkinson looked locally to find their inspiration for the range as they noted their young consumers were more likely to look at the feeds of local digital personalities for their style ideas. Which makes sense given the style of these influencers is just as individual and since they’re in the same season rather than the disconnect with the Northern Hemisphere season, what they’re wearing and buying is accessible now.
“More than just a style icon”, says designer Jenny Drury. “The LEO+BE girl is a young, aspirational twenty-something woman ready to take on the world and all it has to offer. We’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of these girls in the past and it’s become a great way to acknowledge them and their inimitable personal style,”
The new range features 27 ready to wear styles that have LEO+BE’s playful touch. They pieces are designed for the ‘every girl’ and the rainbow of hues makes them a fun way to enjoy winter dressing. Among the new looks are casual retro-style jeans, faux fur bomber jackets, sweet skirts and playful knits in a mix of vibrant prints and cool colour blocking. The range is meant to be mixed and matched to suit the individual’s taste and is perfectly accessorised with beanies and scarves for a stellar winter season.
