K&K's new spring/summer collection has arrived in stores for the warmer months and it's a fun, casual range full of easy to wear pieces that's available from sizes 10 – 26. The brand have stores throughout New Zealand and pride themselves on creating seasonal collections that balance trend pieces with versatile basics to help their customers easily create fashionable looks at an accessible price.
“Our latest collection delivers a strong seasonal message that reflects K+K’s core ethos around style, quality and on-trend offerings,” says Diana Lamb, K+K Marketing Manager. “In a warm summer climate, NZ women like to be comfortable without compromising on style. We think this collection addresses the need for a vibrant wardrobe that any women, no matter her size, can wear confidently and have fun with.”
This season the collection features abstract tie-dye prints, asymmetric hemlines, stripes, fringing and distressed denim with each key idea interpreted in a way that is flattering on a variety of body shapes. The resortwear pieces include embellished kaftans in light fabrics that make for beautiful day to night wear and would be perfect to take on holiday with you. Denim has always been a strong feature of K&K's collections and this season there are embellished, distressed and fringed pieces amongst the more classic styles with cropped flares, shorts, vests and the ever popular denim jacket making an appearance.
K&K are enjoying working with asymmetric hemlines which are a big trend for this season and experimenting with cuts that skim the body for a great silhouette, we're particularly liking their sleeveless striped mixed panel dress teamed with a denim vest for a suitably casual cool look. “This trend is what you make it. Masculine shapes and a minimalist look compliment wayward hemlines.” says Linda Waldman, K+K Women’s Buyer, “we’ve also added a touch of cut-outs when interpreting this trend, such as the open-window back and the cold shoulder – adding drama to a simple tee. This is a really diverse collection that allows the customer to blend trends together to create her own unique look. The emphasis is on fit; and we cut garments to flatter women.”
Complementing the clothing is K&K's refreshed range of accessories which includes wide-brimmed sun hats and lightweight printed scarfs in bold colours to complete your new season outfits. There are certainly lots of great choices at K&K again this season and we're big fans of how inclusive their size range is.
