Kowtow recently launched the brand’s new range of denim in stores and online which speaks to both utility and play. The brand’s previous denim releases have proven super popular and with this collection Kowtow had a vision to expand the understanding of fit by encouraging the wearer to create their desired silhouette.

Creative director Gosia Piatek and her design team were inspired by the work of Italian artist, designer and inventor, Bruno Munari. This led to designs that are informed by the elementary shapes: square, circle and triangle. Translate that to denim and you have jeans that offer straight, tapered and flare leg shapes. The denim is available in three colourways – Indigo, Black and Greige with sizes ranging from XXS to XXL.

Every decision Kowtow makes in design and in business is values-led and for this denim collection has been made by putting people and the planet first. Kowtow’s denim is made from 100% Fairtrade certified organic cotton, which is a natural fibre that uses 91% less water to grow than conventional cotton. As with all their garments, the washing and dying process is certified by Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS), which ensures sustainable use and treatment of wastewater. Each garment is finished with metal buttons which are nickel-free and can be eventually recycled. Kowtow continues to lead the way forward with thoughtful clothing that is kinder to people and the planet.
