Kowtow opened their first flagship store in Wellington late last week as the ethical clothing brand has gone from strength to strength. Previously, the brand has had a successful online store and many wholesalers in New Zealand and internationally but the time is right for Kowtow to have their own flagship store at 29 College St, Wellington.

The new store has been a real passion project for founder, Gosia Piatek, who has consciously married her ethical, sustainable and aesthetic goals, and represented them in Kowtow’s new store. Interior designer Rufas Knight created the stunning retail space which reflects the brand’s contemporary aesthetic. The full range of Kowtow clothing and accessories is available at the store with their dancer inspired Autumn/Winter 2018 collection proving a hit with the brand’s many fans.

Alongside the main collection, Kowtow have just launched a Merino line which marks the first time the brand are working with the yarn and is perfectly timed for the cooler months. In keeping with the brands values, Kowtow have been careful to source a premium Merino fibre certified by ZQ Merino which is both renewable and biodegradable. The Merino pieces are available in red and black with jumpers and cardigans making up the first drop that is online now.
