Breast Cancer Cure relaunched their beloved Tees for a Cure campaign late last year and the collection was a roaring success, now it’s back with a winter collection that launches online today. The latest range features designs from some of Aotearoa’s favourite designers including; Federation, Hailwood, Kathryn Wilson, Kiri Nathan, Kowtow, NOM*d, STORM, Taylor, Tuesday Label, Wynn Hamlyn, Yvonne Bennetti and Zambesi, with Caitlin Crisp and Juliette Hogan joining the campaign this year. The first-ever winter iteration of Tees for a Cure features a selection of long sleeve tees and crew-neck sweatshirts, with sizes available from XS – XXXL.
Last year’s relaunch exceeded Breast Cancer Cure’s expectations with over 4,300 tshirts sold and three print runs required to meet demand. The campaign raised over $250,000 in sales which provides vital funds for Breast Cancer Research in New Zealand.
“The support shown from New Zealanders up and down the country to our Christmas 2021 Tees For a Cure campaign was incredible! says CEO of Breast Cancer Cure, Sonja de Mari. “We produced 1,000 tees in our first run, which sold out by 10am on launch day, and then went on to sell 4,300 in total. This just shows how much heart and joy this campaign evokes – and how truly generous New Zealanders are. We’re so excited to share the new winter ‘Tees for a Cure’ collection. We feel very lucky to be supported by our amazing local designers who have been so generous in offering their artwork for the new winter styles. Buying a long sleeve tee or a sweatshirt is the perfect way to keep warm, look stylish, and support a worthy cause. ”
The BCC team are determined to ensure that every dollar possible goes towards Breast Cancer research, so the team manage the tshirt production process themselves. They pick and pack every order, communicate with suppliers and supporters, and work countless hours to ensure the campaign’s success. Their efforts mean that the BCC can get further with their mission is to ensure that the next generation can look forward to a future free from the fear of breast cancer.
Tees for a Cure Winter Edit is available for pre-order online from today with dispatch in early June 2022.
