Karen Walker‘s latest jewellery collection has just been released and the beautiful new range is called Forest. It’s mythical inspiration comes from the Greek god Pan, who is the mischievous god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, and nature of mountain wilds. This fruitful inspiration leads to Karen’s reinterpretation of the acorn which is one of her most loved jewellery pieces. Together the acorn and oak leaf feature as heavenly motifs throughout the range of earrings, necklaces and cuffs.
“We love reinventing and reinterpreting our designs,” says Karen. “Our acorn is such a beloved piece and in revisiting it our approach was less sleek and more whimsical, almost as if we were roughcasting organic matter fossicked for on the forest floor. All the pieces capture the texture and detail one sees in the real thing and we intensified that by going almost micro miniature with most of the collection.”
The collection includes eight new pieces with earrings, rings, a necklace and a cuff featuring wonderfully textured details. Each piece is cast in either sterling silver, 9 carat yellow gold or rose gold. Forest is the first Karen Walker Jewellery collection to offer gold-plated pieces with the Oak Leaf Earrings, the Oak Leaf Wreath Earrings and the Oak Leaf Cuff all available in gold-plated sterling silver.
The Karen Walker Forest collection is available now in all Karen Walker stores, online and in select boutiques, department stores and jewellers.
