Karen Walker has been busy updating the brand’s jewellery offering with a slew of new arrivals available online and in stores this week. First up is the jungle themed Wild Thing range, which sees Karen Walker journey to rainforests, savannas and grasslands to celebrate three wildlife superstars: the orangutan, the giraffe and the elephant. Captured as detailed miniatures the charming creatures feature on pendants and earrings with the orangutan effortlessly hanging from superfine chains as if it were swinging through the trees.
Next up is the Moon Child range which continues to explore the brand’s fascination with the galaxy in a collection of pieces that is exclusive to Silvermoon and Karen Walker. The jewellery features delightful crescent moons and dangly, sparkly stars coming together in sleepers, hoops and a pendant with an angelic effect.
Expanding the popular The Navigator collection which was originally launched last summer is some truly beautiful pearl pieces. The Love Drop Earrings feature a pair of baroque freshwater pearls hanging from intricately detailed rope bows while the Binding Love Earrings and Long Love Earrings throw to the wind the idea of pearls being restrained and prim, offering dramatic tassels that flow with the breeze instead.
The sweet Superfine pieces from Karen Walker Jewellery have always been popular with the brand’s many fans and this new drop sees the brand introducing gift sets featuring beloved styles the star, heart, bow, cat and, of course, the Runaway Girl. Each set includes earrings, ring and necklace trios in sterling silver that are presented together in their own unique box making a perfect Christmas gift.
Karen Walker has done many amazing collaborations over the years but last summer’s collaboration with Auckland ceramicist Yon Kavvas of Claybird Ceramics was particularly popular. The new piece from Claybird was created to sit alongside Karen Walker Jewellery and is a limited edition jewellery dish. The delicately pretty piece is handmade using New Zealand porcelain, tinted in KW peach and finished with an 18k gold Runaway Girl. A great place to keep some of your favourite Karen Walker jewellery, right where you can admire it.
