Rachael’s lipstick created by Karen Murrell. Image supplied.
Karen Murrell and Make-A-Wish made 18 year old Rachael Cox’s dream come true recently when the young kiwi who lives with Cystic Fibrosis got a lipstick made just for her by Karen Murrell. Rachael believed she was flying to Melbourne to visit Karen Murrell’s lipstick factory and see how lipstick was made but she actually saw her own lipstick that Karen had created just for her going into production. The beautiful pink/purple hued lipstick that is Rachael’s favourite colour was released for sale online last month – appropriately called Rachael’s lipstick. The gorgeous packaging even features an illustration of Rachael herself.
The proceeds from Rachael’s limited-edition lipstick have been donated in a 50:50 split between Make-A-Wish New Zealand and Cystic Fibrosis New Zealand. The lipstick has proven really successful and so far a total of $18,968 has been raised through online sales with Karen Murrell now set to roll out the lipstick to the brand’s retail channels from next month. Look out for Rachael’s lipstick at Karen Murrell stockists in October.
