Kagi gives Hope in support of the Child Cancer Foundation

Kagi has joined forces with the Child Cancer Foundation to create stunning Aquamarine Hope Drops. $10 from every pair of the Hope Acorn Earring Charms purchased ($79 per pair) and $20 from every Hope Acorn Pendant ($135) sold will be donated directly to the Child Cancer Foundation to help fund much needed support and care for families going through cancer treatment. Kagi is proud to help our children grow from small acorns into a forest of strong, healthy trees.

Child Cancer Foundation National Commercial Manager Jo Rodgers says the Foundation is immensely grateful to the support it has received from Kagi. "Our team is supporting more than 500 families at any one time across the country, aiming to reduce the impact of cancer by offering services that ensure children and their families are supported, informed and well cared for at every stage of their journey," says Jo. “We receive no direct government funding, so rely on the generosity of New Zealanders and on innovative businesses like Kagi to provide practical and meaningful support to families when they need it”.

Kat Gee and Bella

Kagi are honoured to have Bella, as the model for their Hope Drops fundraising campaign. Bella was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, an aggressive cancer, when she was just 13 months old. Mum, Katie, tells Bella’s story: ‘Bella has endured six cycles of chemotherapy, a seven hour tumour removal operation, a bone marrow transplant, 12 days of radiation, and six months of immunotherapy. We spent countless weeks and months in hospital. During treatment Bella was fed through a nasogastric tube, so after treatment, aged two and a half, we had to teach her to eat again. We are now one year post-treatment and life is returning to a new kind of normal. She still has three monthly scans and so far so good. During this journey the Child Cancer Foundation was (and continues to be) an amazing support for our whole family in so many ways, and they will always hold a special place in our hearts.’

Kagi is honoured to produce a specially designed jewellery collection for the Child Cancer Foundation to raise money to help fund much needed practical support and care for families like Bella’s.
