Jojo Ross is reinstating timeless fashion with her new Pillars collection, creating minimalist pieces that can be mixed-and-matched to wear through the seasons. Ready to wear, the Pillars collection is a curation of essential pieces that are structured to flatter the feminine form – her designer trademark.
Moving away from complex conceptual designs, the focus is on uncomplicated pieces that are unconfined by seasonal models. The fitted Daydream Top is a favourite style with its tube neck and capped sleeves making for the perfect trans-seasonal piece that can be easily styled and re-worn. Jojo’s shape-giving Power Tee is available in neutral tones of white, toast, and black. The designer’s muted choice of colour palette lends itself to timelessness.
A key print for the collection is the Marble which is a delicate modern-style swirl in creamy browns that features on a loose-fitted pant with a paper-bag waist and removable D-link belt. The print recurs on the Modernist Shirt and Day Dress which will be a summer staple. The Day Dress features a V neck, full sleeves, a semi-fitted waist, and dreamy bell-shaped hem to accentuate the waistline without foregoing comfort during warm summer days. The neutrality of the Marble print ensures that the garments it adorns can be worn at day and night.
Most of the collection is consciously made in New Zealand with a small amount of it ethically made offshore in line with Jojo Ross’ ethos. With the brand no longer wholesaling, Jojo is pleased to create and offer beautiful pieces at a more accessible price point. Continuing 2.0 – a project of reinvention, the brand looks to made-to-order for artistic fashion pieces in a quest to re-kindle the life of each garment and make re-wearable fashion the norm.
