Jetstar – Improving the view and bringing the forest to the city and your back yard!

Grab the kids, grab a friend and get ready to be wowed this weekend!

Making a commitment to 'help improve the view' in New Zealand and for generations to come, Jetstar is proud to announce its partnership with the Ngati Awa Heritage Estate reforestation project in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

With support from Jetstar, the Ngati Awa Heritage Estate has commenced planting thousands of endemic native species and exotics to protect sacred archaeological sites and prevent land degradation.

Located on over 800 hectares of iconic coastal land in Ohope.  This breathtakingly beautiful piece of land is home to many culturally significant archaeological sites dating back over 1000 years and is located adjacent to one of New Zealand's most successful non captive Kiwi breeding programmes and the local Ohope Beach Primary School.

Jetstar is committed to minimising its impact on the environment, and including the Ngati Awa Heritage Estate reforestation project, has introduced various initiatives to address this important issue.

To kick the project off head to Number One, Queen Street, Auckland CBD (across the road from the Ferry Building on Quay Street) on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November to discover and experience Jetstar's visually inspiring pop-up native New Zealand bush right in the heart of the city! Thousands of complimentary Seed Stars, to grow your own native tree, will be being given out on the day to help improve the view in your very own back yard!
