Jasmin Sparrow recently released the brand’s latest collection called COCO which is full of winsome jewellery designed to be treasured. Designer Jasmin Scott is known for her beautiful use of ethically-sourced stones and recycled metals, producing sustainable, environmentally conscious jewellery that is modern yet timeless. This range picks up on the threads of previous collections with each piece beautifully crafted to be mixed and matched with those that have come before.
When it came to designing this new range Jasmin Scott turned to the materials she had on hand and was inspired by the idea of creating a collection that felt fresh but was still connected to previous pieces. For COCO that means the reimagining of signature pieces and delivering some thoughtful new styles. As always, there is a sentimentality that runs though the collection as while Jasmin Sparrow’s aesthetic is bold and sophisticated, the designer also wants each piece to be imbued with the sentimental quality of a precious heirloom.
COCO sees an experimentation with dimension and proportion with the offering of asymmetrical styles like the Coco earrings which feature shoulder-grazing pearls on one side and on the other side a sculptural single pearl drop. The eye-catching Mini Sparkle and Mini Mermaid earrings with a cluster of baroque pearls offer fresh and captivating versions of previous Jasmin Sparrow styles. The brand have used 100% recycled silver and ethically-sourced stones to create the Ruby necklace, Daffodil earrings and the Mini Mermaid earrings which are made entirely by jewellers in New Zealand continuing Jasmin Sparrow’s commitment to supporting local artisans and utilising existing resources. This new collection is a conscious reflection of the brand’s values and offers a beautiful selection of pieces that will be treasured for generations to come.
