Curvy ladies rejoice as designer Sera Lilly has returned to fashion with a new plus-size label – Sera Lilly Curve. The new range is confident, flattering and has trend-driven styling that celebrates curves. It’s aimed at ladies in the size 14 – 24 bracket which is still a market that doesn’t get as much high fashion attention as it should and why Sera Lilly Curve will likely do very well.
It’s also a welcome return to fashion for Sera Lilly who closed her bridal and ready-to-wear labels a few years ago to have a break and focus on her family, incidentally this new business is also a family collaboration with her brother, Josh. In Sera's time away from retail she’s run a popular fitness and health Facebook ‘Fat 2 Fit’ and a plus-size fashion blog 'Kiwi Curves' which has made her aware of the need to help inspire body confidence. “I’m a firm believer that every woman can look good – and in fact deserves to look good no matter what her shape or size” says Sera Lilly, and we agree.
The first collection for Sera Lilly Curve is spring/summer 2015/16 and is about an all-encompassing summer paradise, that features timeless staples as well as contemporary statement pieces. The collection has a distinctly seventies feel too, which is very on trend right now and is a riot of beautiful prints in vivid colours as well as classic monochromatic looks.
As well as providing wardrobe staples, party pieces and everything in-between, the summer collection also features an assortment of beautifully crafted accessories including pastel blue clutches, cobalt shoulder bags and pom-pom bag charms in sweet colours. The best part is it’s available to shop now at Sera Lilly Curve’s brand new online store. We think that this label is perfectly timed and will no doubt be a great success.
