Housed in clever compostable packaging, Anihana is all about sustainable beauty and taking a moment out for yourself with their blissful range of natural products.
Ahhh have made the exciting move to reimagine their brand and relaunch under the thoughtful new name ‘Anihana’. When asked how they came upon the name, Founder and CEO Sophie Cooper says “We chose Anihana because it is Beau’s (Sophie’s daughter) middle name, which we used in honour of my partner Aden’s late mother Marara Anihana. Anihana is the Māori translation for Anderson. I love how it connects my business journey, being pregnant with Beau while starting the new venture till now when Aden has finally joined the family business.”
The former Ahhh brand has made leaps and bounds in the local beauty industry within just a few years, from an online offering to now gracing the shelves of New World and Pak n Save supermarkets, and pharmacies across the country, while releasing several new products in various bath, body and hair care ranges. They’re also certified as a Living Wage employer, certified NZ Made and partners of the Sustainable Business Network. Anihana have recently become a gold sponsor of The Mum Clique Charity, an alignment Sophie is very proud of, and this year have started their BCorp Certification process – a very in-depth and credible certification recognised worldwide and led by B Lab. The certification highlights the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose in business.
Anihana has just launched with fresh new playful packaging to match their new name. With their sights firmly set on expanding into Australia by 2022, Anihana have streamlined their range to showcase their best and top-selling beauty products which induce a sense of relaxation and a moment of bliss, in their signature vibrant colours.
