Ingrid Starnes recently launched a beautiful new collection of lingerie featuring carefully considered, locally-made pieces. The brand’s charming capsule collection includes ten styles with a curated range of slips, bras and knicker on offer. Designer Ingrid Starnes and her team chose suitably soft fabrics of silk, Japanese lace and organic cotton for the range, in a palette of red, black, olive, dusty pink and white.
The desire to make elegant lingerie locally was the motivation behind the sublime collection. While it’s not currently possible to produce underwire bras here due to manufacturing limitations, the Datura and Tulipa styles are designed through fabric-selection and pattern-making to be more supportive. Ingrid Starnes are open to feedback on the lingerie’s fit and sizing, and as the brand is currently only selling online, they offer full returns so customers can try the pieces at home with confidence. The brand is looking forward to returning to retail pop-ups in future now that stores are able to open again.
Ingrid Starnes plan on keeping lingerie as a regular offering alongside the brand’s clothing collections, fragrances and Ceremony bridal range. Each of which is currently available to shop online.
When it came to creating the lingerie campaign imagery, the Ingrid Starnes team utilised talented photographer Olivia Renouf who shot gorgeous model Holly Rose, with hair and make-up by Sophy Phillips. The resulting captivating images have a wonderfully retro feel which suits the brand’s vintage-inspired yet modern collections.
