Huffer blew the roof off of New Zealand Fashion Week 2016 with their epic finale show for their Winter 2017 collection called “You Are Here” that has just arrived in stores. It’s definitely one of their most hotly anticipated collections and arrives in what is their twentieth year in business. Designer Steve Dunstan and his team have come a long way since 1997 but Huffer has remained true to its streetwear roots while delivering collections that mix technical precision and practicality with a sense of fun and cool kid charm.
This new range has a lot to offer for both women and men with lots of layering pieces and outerwear to keep you cozy for the warmer months. The pastel colour palette is very much of the moment for women and it’s no surprise that their down jackets in baby blue and pink are a hot item for this season.
The brand played with the concept of familiarity and home with their latest custom print which references Google’s You Are Here marker and Huffer’s iconic three ball logo. Unsurprisingly the three ball logo plays a welcome part in this collection having been an instant identifier of the brand since the beginning and a beloved part of its history.
This campaign was shot in Melbourne which is appropriate given Huffer’s continued success in Australia and taps into the urban street aesthetic that is at the heart of the brand. No doubt this season will be another Stellar one on the street for Huffer.
