Nothing says summer quite like florals – keep them light and bright to hold on to that warm weather vibe! When it starts getting cooler you can add denim jackets and cosy knits to hang on to those summer feels a little longer.

Whether it’s a simple white tee or a print with a white background, white (and other light shades) are something we wear a lot more of in summer. It pairs really well with a casual denim or dressed up with bright or dark colours, so this is a wardrobe staple you’ll be able to wear a lot.

It’s not hard to figure out why blue is such a summer favourite – it makes us think of swimming pools and oceans and all things cool. Layer it up with lighter colours or go for something darker as the weather cools down, or try a tonal look – one colour in different shades.

As Kiwis we tend to wear a lot of black (especially during the cooler months), so if you love a pop of colour why not embrace it and bring those bright summer colours to your everyday wardrobe?

If you’ve got a favourite summer frock or skirt and you’re not ready to give it up as the weather cools down that’s okay. Transition into cooler weather by adding stockings and ankle boots, a scarf, gloves and a jacket. There’s no reason you can’t wear your summer faves all year round, styled to suit the weather!
