Hair Inspiration: ghd x RUBY & Liam

Following the RUBY & Liam AW15 presentation at The Engine Room the designers behind the clothes let us in on their inspiration for the whole look and ghd guest artist, Sara Allsop shares her tips as to how you can create these looks at home.

Liam AW15 ‘The Space Between’ hair look

“For Liam AW15 I wanted a relaxed hair style that drew on the natural body of our models' hair. A soft side part and smooth ends, creating a versatile look that is great for a work day or an evening out,” Emily Miller-Sharma, Liam Designer. #liamthespacebetween

1.       Spray ghd curl hold spray and ghd total volume foam into wet hair and dry in using ghd aura  professional hairdryer

2.       Using the ghd eclipse styler run the styler from the root half way down the length of the hair, leaving the ends with a natural finish

3.       Brush hair out thoroughly using the ghd oval dressing brush and create a side part

4.       Using your hands pull hair back into a low ponytail and secure midway down the length of the ponytail

5.       Using your fingers loosen pieces of hair to add a more relaxed feel and finish with ghd final fix hairspray

RUBY AW15 ‘HANA’ hair look

“For the RUBY AW15 hair look I wanted to create something sleek, strong, and natural, to reflect our Japanese surfer inspired collection.  We combined a slick centre part, with an ever so slight wet-shine, and then used the girls natural wave to create this look.  The overall effect was feminine and fresh,” Deanna Didovich, RUBY Designer. #rubyhana
