Chris Hales (centre) with models at Goodness’ ten year celebration.
Chris Hales founded Goodness in 2006 and the popular Wellington brand celebrated a stylish decade in business last week. What began as a boutique in Petone has grown to encompass three stores, with the next opened in College Street, Wellington and another following in Herne Bay, Auckland. Goodness stocks a great range of local and international designer brands as well as Hale’s own Goodness label which is known for its elegant designs that feature vintage inspired fabrics.
The past decade has certainly been a tumultuous one for not just fashion but the global economy, so the fact that Goodness has gone from strength to strength in that time is a significant achievement and worthy of celebration. To mark the special occasion, Hales hosted a tenth anniversary party at her College Street store inviting Wellington’s fashion community to enjoy an installation-style show styled by Sopheak Seng, with hair by Michael Beel and the team from Buoy, and makeup by Clinique. It was a suitably jubilant night and a wonderful way to mark an important milestone. Congratulations to Chris Hales and the Goodness team.
