Following on from their successful winter collaboration, Lee and Chronicles of Never Designer, Gareth Moody , have joined forces once again to create the GLM For Lee Summer ‘12 collection. The result is a fusion of Lee’s trend-driven style with Moody’s brooding panache.
Reflecting the strengthening relationship between both parties, GLM For Lee Summer ‘12 is a tight and cohesive collection which showcases the strenghts of both design teams. The collecion combines the androgenous aesthetic of Gareth Moody and the fashion denim expertise of Lee.
The traditional ‘Moody’ colour palette has been given a more vibrant injection this season, with the popular Vintage Black and Ash Grey being complimented by Dusty Rose and Grape. The result is a combination of earthy tiones and intelligent denim.
The signature details for the collection draw inspiration from it’s winter 12 predecessor, including the unbranded hair-on-hide patch, the matte black buttons and exclusive European denim.
Fresh additions include simple cut out and vent detailing in tops and beautiful crinkled cotton-boil which plays with texture and structure in both the drop-crotch men’s Whatchman Short and women’s Phantom Short.
Denim is at the core of the collection with Lee’s signature fits, such as the high rise Pretender Short and Avian Licks, returning for a second season for the girls and the L1 Short and Second Chapter Jean for guys.
Moody’s distinct aesthetic and appreciation for craftmanship and detail combined with Lee’s denim quality and fit expertise has resulted in a second collection that will impress both Lee and Moody’s most devoted fans and grab the attention of those who aren’t yet new admirers.
The GLM For Lee Collection will be available in Lee stores and select stockists nationally from October 2012.
