Kate Sylvester’s collection on the runway at New Zealand Fashion Weekend 2016
New Zealand Fashion Week 2016 is less than 8 weeks away now and we can’t wait to see the new collections from established and emerging local designers on the runway. This year it’s on from August 22 – 28 which includes the ever popular New Zealand Fashion Weekend. Tickets to New Zealand Fashion Weekend 2016 are on sale from July 4th from iTicket.
The HITO Hot New Talent competition is also back for 2016, it offers the next generation of new hair stylists and makeup artists the opportunity to travel to Auckland and work alongside key fashion industry leaders during NZFW. If you’re a budding talent or know someone that is, make sure you enter the HITO Hot Talent competition.
If hair and makeup isn’t your thing but you’re keen to find out more about the fashion industry, volunteering at New Zealand Fashion Week is a great opportunity for you to be involved and get a foot in the door. Roles include dressing models, ushering and working at registration. NZFW depends on volunteers to ensure the week runs smoothly and some of the volunteers have gone onto successful careers in the fashion industry including several of the FashioNZ team.
