What is the Lionsgate Portal and what does it mean?
The Lionsgate Portal opens every year on 8 August when the sun in Leo, the star Sirius, Orion’s belt, and the Earth all line up. The name ‘Lionsgate’ is because this alignment creates an energetic ‘portal’ or gateway that opens up an activation for peak manifesting energy to take place, with ‘lion’ coming from the sun in Leo.
The portal is an astrological event, which happens annually between 28 July and builds to culminate on 8 August. Sirius is referred to as the spiritual sun and is one of the brightest stars in our sky, and its placement with the sun in Leo and Orion’s belt forms an alignment of energetic power for peak discipline and perseverance. In July, the sun energy was building up this power within us, preparing us for this annual alignment and portal of power. At the same time as this powerhouse of astrological alignment occurs, the pyramids of Giza are directly in alignment with it here on earth, which is no coincidence as the Ancient Egyptians worshipped Sirius as the goddess Sopdet, celebrating Sirius’ return in the morning sky as the start of the farming season and the beginning of a new year.
What can you expect?
Life will begin to shift and move around these dates with an ‘upgrade’ of energy coming in to connect you to deeper states of your power and preparing you for a release of energy that has been holding you back which will be magnified by the Full Sturgeon Moon on August 12. The Lionsgate portal this 2022 is about surrendering to endings and allowing new beginnings. The double energy of eight on August 8 (8/8) is auspicious as in numerology eight is the powerhouse number connected to strength, achievement and goals. An eight lying on its side is also the infinity symbol, so 8/8 is an extremely powerful amplification for us of infinite possibilities.
What should I do to harness this energy?
You want to be tuning into the Leo lion energy within you at this time. The animal itself represents power, courage, leadership, protection and perseverance but there is also the shadow side of a lion to take into consideration too. Maybe for you, it might be the power to attack and not listen to what others are saying. It could also be the need for control and competition. You may even need to add some of these shadow sides in to balance out the lion within you. This awareness is to help you use the portal energy to accelerate your manifestations.

Between 28 July and the 8 of August, you want to get very clear on your direction, let go of the past and listen to the cues the universe is showing you to move forward with life. Feel into your cells and let your inner vibrations guide you. Infinite possibilities are available to you at this potent time and the ones you manifest are the ones that you are focusing on so meditate and focus on what you want not what you don’t and be prepared for an upgrade that will charge you from within towards potent inner transformation.
As we let go of the past there is no going back if we are clear on our intentions to move forward. Some endings have been a gradual process over a long time and sometimes they can be abrupt, but it is all geared towards your blossoming.
