What were the main inspirations behind Truly, Madly, Sleepy?
Honestly, we felt like 2022 was trying to play us a little so wanted to push back the only way we know how to in design — with niche references. Our suit of the season, for example, is inspired by our attempts to sing Seal & Crofts’ ’Summer Breeze’ at karaoke. We decided that naming the set (Summer Breeze Jacket & Jasmine Mini) after the track would make a far better tribute.
Is there a piece in the collection or a fabric/silhouette that is particularly special?
On our quest to make the perfect blouse, we’ve created the Feelings blouse. It then becomes almost cosmic in its taffy silk iteration of the Utopia Blouse.
What’s something you’d love everyone to know about this Truly, Madly, Sleeply collection?
This collection is a breath of fresh air. We want all the garments to have that special-something feel when we saw them on.
