Sounds Stylish
The Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards are a hot ticket this week, and will provide local celebrities with a great reason to (please) dress up.

Hosting the awards again is Shannon Ryan, who will wear three changes from tkstore (as will the VNZMA ushers) and Kathryn Wilson. Co-host Ben Boyce will wear Gibson Menswear. Boh Runga and Gin Wigmore will be wearing Kathryn Wilson Footwear – can’t wait to find out ‘who’ they are wearing on their bodies, and that goes for fellow glamourpuss Kimbra, too.
The NZ TV awards will also take place this week, on Saturday evening.
WORLD to open Wellington Fashion Week 2013
The second Wellington Fashion Week (WFW) event was last week confirmed to take place from 3-7 April 2013. The event is to be held in a 16m by 45m marquee on the Wellington water front, overlooking the harbour. WORLD are confirmed to open the week, showcasing their Autumn-Winter collection.

The second WFW will see Spring/Summer 2013/14 group and individual trade shows, alongside consumer-focused current season Winter 2013 showcases.
Designer Vicki Taylor was one of the first to commit to the inaugural event in 2012, and at this stage hopes to be involved in 2013. She says “I put my hand up first last year because I felt that Wellington didn’t have any fashion events that were for the public – whereas Auckland has New Zealand Fashion Festival and New Zealand Fashion Weekend. WFW also gives Wellington designers a chance to show in their home town, too, which is much easier. And it gives young Wellington designers a stepping stone before they make the big move up to Auckland to do NZFW. We all hope that the WFW event is going to grow and mature and become an institution on the New Zealand Fashion calendar.”

Congratulations to the Adidas #mygirls and especially to fashion girls Sara Tetro (62 Models/New Zealand’s Next Top Model) and Bronwyn Williams (Stuff) – they all competed in the Auckland Marathon this Sunday. Bron ran the half and achieved a well above average time of 1h 55 min, and Sara walked the quarter.

Separately, Signature Style's Jackie O'Fee ran the full marathon – her first – in a very respectable 4 h 24 min. That's 42k, people!

Glenn Hunt was ahead of the crowd in confining his 1am title to online only, back in July 2009. He’s just launched issue #15 – look out for Zambesi’s Dayne Johnston as guest stylist, on a shoot photographed by Karen Inderbitzen-Waller.
