Pair up with Tim Tam in October and help raise $100,000 for the Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition (BCAC)!

Last year’s Breast Buddies campaign was a great success, raising $70,000 for BCAC, but this year our favourite biscuit is upping the ante with their ‘Pair up with Tim Tam’ initiative. Tim Tam have set an unprecedented target of raising $100,000 across October, and are calling on Kiwis to help. But they’re not all talk – Tim Tam will match all public donations to reach the goal of $100,000 for the BCAC.

And it couldn’t be a more worthy cause. Every year, 650 women die from breast cancer in New Zealand – we were astounded when we realised that is almost two women every day.

You can ‘Pair up with Tim Tam’ and donate through their Facebook site. There are currently over 44,000 ‘Breast Buddies’ on the fan page supporting the breast cancer cause. With 2,500 women being diagnosed every year, the disease is far reaching.

Several high-profile Kiwi women have also donated their famous faces to the cause, including Helena McAlpine and Annah Stretton. Further details on these women and their involvement with breast cancer can be found on the Facebook page.

The money raised will go to the BCAC who provide a voice for women with breast cancer through support and representation, empowering those with breast cancer to make informed choices about their treatment and care.

Gloss is behind this great cause, and we encourage you to join! You can also donate on the Breast Buddies fundraising page. http://www.fundraiseonline.co.nz/breastbuddies/
