My journey into the world of fashion wasn’t a premeditated leap but rather a realisation inspired by observing it from the sidelines.
Kia Ora, I’m Michel Baudouin, a model and fashion creator, proudly carrying the vibrant heritage of Burundi and Togo. Born in New Zealand, I am proud to call myself a Kiwi.
Makaira Lee, a stylist, and Synthia Bahati, a multidisciplinary artist, played a pivotal role in turning that observation into action. They dropped the idea in my head, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” Since then, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with renowned brands like Adidas, Calvin Klein, Stolen girlfriends Club, Ksubi, and more – a journey that’s taken me through photoshoots, runways, and features in magazines such as Remix.
Currently, I’m fully self-employed! With a focus on modelling. It’s been a wild ride, and my sights are set on big goals to get into having experience in becoming a stylist but also taking it overseas. In terms of influence, my message is simple: strive for your goals relentlessly, and don’t let anyone dictate your path. We’ve got one shot at this life, so why not go all out? BEASTMODE!
