Following the success of hej hej‘s popular pop-up at Bloc Mt Eden, the linen loving brand have just opened their first stand-alone store in Ponsonby, Auckland. Founders Alice Isles and Kiki Judd worked with acclaimed interior designers Wonder Group, whose previous projects include Duck Island, INCO studio and Wynn Hamlyn, on the beautiful space (formerly occupied by moochi) which embodies hej hej’s trademark love of colour.
“We are excited to have a stand-alone store that is full of our brand personality and colour,” says Alice Isles and Kiki Judd. “We thought the location and space was the perfect size and location for hej hej. We loved that we are surrounded but amazing retailers (Muse, Superette, Adorno, Marlow, Everyday Needs). It has been a really fun experience putting the space together and working with Wonder Group who brought our vision to life with a very tight deadline.”
Perfectly located to make the most of natural light, the Ponsonby Road store features a charming colour palette of periwinkle, lemon, pink, peach, orange and midnight blue and suitably joyful wavy racks. The new store currently showcases hej hej’s playful Summer 21/22 ‘Fresh as a Daisy’ womenswear collection and limited edition menswear capsule.
You can find hej hej’s store at 282 Ponsonby Road, it’s now open from Monday- Saturday 10 am – 5 pm and Sunday 11 am – 4 pm.
