First in, best tressed

2013 signals a new era in home hair colour that brings professional hair care to your very own bathroom.

Garnier introduces Olia, a technological breakthrough that recognises the growing trend of the benefits of hair oils and incorporates the Oil Delivery System2 technology for the first time in home hair colour.

Olia’s formula contains 60 per cent oil which not only provides deep condition and nourishment but also diffuses colour directly into the hair shaft.

Olia contains four different natural oils – sunflower, camellia, passionflower and limnanthes alba – to protect and nourish hair. Unlike water-based dyes that cause damage and dryness, Olia’s oil-based system penetrates the hair shaft more easily and visibly improves hair quality by maximising coloration.

A nourishing polymer preserves the inside and outside of the hair fibre during the colouring process while a second polymer binds to the hair surface to protect the fibre.  The oil coats hair and protects the lipid cover, which guarantees the respect of the fibre.

The ODS2 technology provides up to three times tone lift and promises 100 per cent grey coverage.

ODS2 technology boosts the lightening effect, thereby doing away with the traditional need for ammonia, and its accompanying smell. The ammonia ingredient is replaced by an organic compound  Monoethanolamine (MEA) which leaves hair healthy, shiny and well-conditioned.

Its ammonia-free formula provides optimum comfort causing less scalp irritation. Olia provides a new sensorial experience with a delicate floral scent in place of a nasty chemical odour.

The tear-shaped developer bottle fits perfectly in the palm, while the pop-out hole in the box stands the applicator bottle upright during the colouring process. The kit also includes a generous-sized conditioner – that lasts up to three washes – gloves and a detailed step-by-step instruction sheet.

There is an Olia colour to suit every woman with 17 shades from deep violet and intense red to frosty chestnut and light blonde.

Olia turns the process of hair colouring into a pleasurable experience and leaves hair more nourished and beautiful than before.

Hot tip: Blow-dry your hair after using Olia Hair Colour. This will infuse the natural oils into your hair, maximising colour and giving you that soft and silky feel.

Available early April from selected supermarkets, pharmacies and The Warehouse and KMART. RRP$16.99.
