Auckland Cup Week is New Zealand’s biggest and most glamorous week of thoroughbred racing and signals the end of the big racedays for summer. Only the best is on show during the week which provides premium opportunities for fabulous fashion, corporate hosting, family entertainment and enjoying the thrill of the race!
During the week racegoers can support Ronald McDonald House Charities®. Together, Auckland Racing Club and RMHC are aiming to raise $80,000 to build desperately needed additional bedrooms at the Ronald McDonald House® in Auckland.
Back again in 2015, Auckland Cup Week is proud to present Federal Food in the Field. Presented by SKYCITY, Federal Food in the Field is the ultimate place on course to tantalise your taste buds with a selection of delicious dishes on offer from two of Federal Street’s finest restaurants The Grill by Sean Connolly and Peter Gordon’s Bellota.

TV3 Derby Day – Saturday 28 February
10 thrilling races including New Zealand's premier race – the Group I $750,000 TV3 New Zealand Derby. This is joined by nine other thrilling races including the Group III Darley Plate and the Group III BMW Mr Tiz Trophy.
Viva Prix de Fashion – New Zealand's Fashions in the Field final with over $45,000 in prizes on offer. Viva Prix de Fashion brings together the best of the best to find the person to represent New Zealand at the 2015 Myer Fashions on the Field as part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Picnics & Ponies family area. The perfect back drop for a relaxed family picnic or barbeque, the free children's entertainment includes pony rides, bouncy castles, Popsicle Planet and swingball. (No BYO alcohol.)

Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day – Wednesday 4th March
Races include the $500,000 Group I Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup, a 3200m gruelling handicap race for any age horse that dates back to 1874. Other feature races on the day include the Group lll $70,000 McKee Family Sunline Vase and the Group lll $70,000 Westbury Classic.
Cup Couture presented by shopviva.co.nz and Stamford Plaza Auckland – A change to the 2015 competition, Cup Couture now celebrates the best dressed man and the best dressed woman individually who represent the style, glamour and sophistication of Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day.
Diamond Day in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities® ft Whips n Spurs – Saturday 7th March
The day’s feature races are the Group I $200,000 Haunui Farm Diamond Stakes (for the country's best two-year-old horses) and the Group I $200,000 Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand Stakes.
BMW Diamond Darling – Diamond Day follows the tradition of Ladies’ Day internationally with a focus on style, glamour and fashion AND one fabulously well-dressed female racegoer will win a prize package valued at over $10,000 from BMW in the BMW Diamond Darling fashion competition.
Whips n Spurs Carnival – Whips n Spurs is back and we are celebrating the end of Cup Week inspired by the colour and action of Rio’s Carnival. As the grand finale of Auckland Cup Week this event is a must-do on the Auckland social calendar and is the place to be seen this summer. Dress to impress and be ready to take a punt on some of the head turning studs and fillies!
