Michael Beel, Creative Director at Buoy Hairdressing and Hair Director for Wellington Fashion Week, has been working alongside Francis and Benny from WORLD to help create the look for their debut at Wellington Fashion Week.

He describes the look as showcasing “The Great Gatsby, Downton Abbey, and 1920’s finger-waves.” The theme through hair varies, but “the wave moment is our strongest focal point.”

Lips were clearly the statement across the show. Models’ lips were embellished intricately with Swarovski crystals, ranging from hues of striking red, pink and purple. Make-up Director Olivia Wild explains that It has taken three trial runs to perfect this look.

She describes the process as one of the most exciting highlights of her career to date, as she was free to be creative and adventurous.

“I’d say that this the one of the most exciting catwalk looks I’ve created in my career. I really got to explore aesthetic and beautiful looks”.
