We popped in to see the new ranges from Mimco at Showroom 22, and also to check out what’s coming up this winter and autumn through to next summer (hurry up, summer!)
‘Glitter, glam and gorgeous’, sums up the offerings from Mimco for the next 12 months.
Winter sees a collection of more muted tones, and it was nice to see browns, taupes and gold accents, rather than the standard black. Cute boots and fancy flats seem to be on the menu the next few months.
We also love the idea of bring wrapped up warm with a dark jacket and big scarf, and looking down on sparkly, gold feet peeking out from all those winter layers.
The autumn collection felt like a step back in time – very 70s. The pastel blues, and retro silver will slowly ready you for the craziness and neon-ness (yes, we’ve just made up a word) that is going to be around next summer.
Detail and bling is key next autumn. but, as mentioned, next summer will be filled with spectacular shades, bold primary colours and neon delights. It’s warming us up just thinking about it.
The surprise highlight of the new collections had to be the handbags. Mimco is moving to a more minimalist chic look, which is great. The world already has one Guess, and that’s more than enough.
We spotted at least four everyday handbags we plan on snapping up plus a great bag that could be used as a stylish nappy bag or gym bag. Pity we don’t have kids or exercise.
